1. Use a Seat Cover

Use these seat covers to protect yourself from the faceplate so that you do not contact bacterias. These seat covers are normally installed in a wall-mounted toilet. If there are residues on the seat, you should bend over with a small paper before putting on the seat cover. Place the seat cover in the center of the water tank in the toilet for it to be absorbed when flushing the toilet. Consider storing a disposable seat cover when it is not in stock.

2. Use the toilet paper for wiping the front panel.

This will help you to remove bacteria and viruses that can be found. You can also use regular toilet paper or dampen a piece of water with soap and water. If you have a disinfectant gel, you can put it on toilet paper to rub the bezel before you sit down.

3. Carry disinfectant wipes with you.

Use sanitizing wipes to flush the toilet and to wipe public toilets such as bezels and door handles. This will prevent contact with viruses and germs. Many brands offer travel disinfectant wipes that can be easily stored in a bag. Make sure that the disinfectant can get on the skin. Also, wipe the front panel after washing and disinfect until completely dry. To avoid clogging, check for a label on the packaging with the disinfectant before flushing it into the toilet.

4. Carry small alcohol-soaked napkins with you

If you prefer, you can store alcohol-soaked wipes to kill viruses and germs. They are unobtrusive and can be softer to the skin than disinfectant wipes. Wipe the toilet seat well and discard alcohol wipes in the bin. Let the faceplate dry before sitting down. You can buy alcohol-soaked napkins at the supermarket.

5. Flush the toilet by closing your hand or using your foot.

The toilet handle is usually the dirtiest item in the closet. Covering it with toilet paper or using shoes, you will avoid contact with bacteria and germs. You can also use a seat cover or toilet paper to touch the handle when flushing the toilet.

6. Sanitize your hands.

A recent study showed that contaminated hands and fingers could easily leave bacteria and germs in the toilet. Using proper hand washing or using a disinfectant gel will reduce the risk of transmission of the virus by touching a dirty surface.

You should wash your hands with warm water and soap and wash for at least twenty seconds. After washing your hands, use hand sanitizer gel or if there is no soap. Dry your hands with paper towels, if any. Some studies have shown that hand dryers in public toilets can carry bacteria.

There are many toilet cleaners. Before you begin cleaning, carefully read the instructions on the labels, and test the drug on a small and inconspicuous surface area.

Liquid mixtures, gels, and creams are the most prevalent toilet cleaners.

Powders are effective and easy-to-use cleaners. However, it is essential to remember that most of them contain abrasive elements that can scratch the surface of the plumbing.

Foams and aerosols are relatively new drugs on the market, but their popularity is growing due to the effectiveness and gentle care of the plumbing.

Pendants are prophylactic products with disinfecting, aromatic, and protective properties. When flushing the toilet, most of them temporarily cover the surface with a protective film. Still, the suspension can only be used as an addition to maintaining hygienic cleanliness to other toilet cleaners.

It is important to remember that keeping the toilet clean is necessary not only for aesthetic but also for hygienic purposes. With improper care, the bathroom can become a hotbed of germs, which can cause diseases. However, if all necessary measures are taken to disinfect, remove dirt, limescale, and prevent blockages, you can destroy dangerous microbes and provide a hygienically clean space for you and all your family members.
