Obligations: If a full-time housekeeper who is living in at your place falls sick, proper medical attention needs to be provided along with proper rest.

Privacy and space: The privacy of yourself and the family will be compromised if there is a full-time housekeeper and is living in at your place, as you might need to take that other person along with you when you go out for a vacation with your family, a new person will be sleeping at your home, watching what you are eating, what you are wearing. Apart from that, you need to have enough space for that person to stay at your place and sleep during the afternoon and at night, also there is enough space for the new person to keep her belongings.

Security: Since these housekeepers are going to stay at your home, chances are there if they are frustrated or due to some unforeseen circumstances that they might hurt a family member or themselves. Also if they are dishonest they might end up stealing valuable items from the house when the employer is not at home.

Cost: The cost of a part-time housekeeper is slightly less than full-time ones, however, they charge on an hourly basis.

Security: The security of the house is not compromised as they come to do their work and go away. Their stay in the house is for a very short period of time. Chances of any mishap happening are reduced considerably.

Friction: The friction of any sort is very much reduced, as they do their work and leave, there is less interaction with the family and the part-time maids are comparatively happy workers.

Part-Time Housekeeper Cons:

Stability: There is a lot of stability issues for a part-time housekeeper, as they get job offers on a regular basis.

Leave: They tend to take more leaves compared to full-time housekeepers.

Extended working hours: This cannot be expected from a part-time housekeeper as they tend to do their work and leave for a particular time frame as they have more than one client to serve, so extending more than the stipulated time frame cannot be expected from them.
