  • Spring Cleaning Tips For Chinese New Year

Spring Cleaning Tips For Chinese New Year

Chinese New year which is also known as Chun Jei (Spring Festival) is a well-known festival which is practiced in Singapore for 15days with an intention of celebrating the Chinese culture and their traditions. Spring cleaning is one of the traditional practices that are expected to be done in order to commemorate this festival which takes place in late January or early February. The cleaning should be done much earlier before the Festival starts.

When it starts with spring cleaning, there is a lot to consider, and this is a complete cleanup that will keep the house that will authentically prepare you for the Chinese New Year and the year. Here is how to clean your house for Chinese New Year in Singapore.

Upholstery cleaning

Upholstery, like carpets, turns gray and accumulates small particles of dust and dirt that cannot escape through the shaking. It is important to wash these machines or, if necessary, clean them chemically so that they return to their previous vivid colors, and you will be surprised at the difference they can make. In addition to the coverings of your furniture, you should also wash your carpet, your carpets, your curtains, and even your tablecloths.

Dusting the base

When walking around your property, vacuum the floor and clean the surfaces. This is normal However, it is also important to remember to remove dust and dirt from the baseboards, and people do not always remember that. To do this, you can walk with the mouthpiece of a vacuum cleaner or with a bottle of polisher and a dry cloth, and this will help you to make the walls look much brighter, and prevent people from looking down and a jar. Observe the removal of dust and dirt.

Cleaning ornaments

Surfaces that remove dust do not mean that when you clean your ornaments and items during spring cleaning, it must mean that you are properly collecting all the dust particles under and around them. Similarly, it would also mean cleaning the ornaments or rinsing them under a faucet, and you will be surprised how a statue or model accumulates small piles of dust in the cracks and details.

Go under and behind your furniture

If you have never cleaned under your bed, then an unpleasant surprise awaits you when you go there. It is not healthy to leave so much dust and crumbs near your place to sleep. More dust accumulates when you ignore a dust infested area which makes the rest of the room dusty and acquires a stuffy feeling in the room. This can be very unpleasant and you might be surprised by the spooky things that will come out underneath. It’s essential that you clean your furniture properly with everything above and below them.

Dispose of what you don’t require
It is also important that you remove the dirt before you start the cleaning process. This will help you to enter the area for a more thorough cleaning. Of course, it’s a good idea to mess around the year, not just in the spring. If necessary, make some money selling online like on eBay. You may even have the opportunity to share some of these elements with the needy. The less you have in your home, the easier it is to clean and maintain it.

Carpet cleaning

Carpet cleaning can be part of the most intensive spring cleaning work done in your home. There are many carpet cleaning companies that can help you in the area. However, it is important that you work with a company that you can trust and that you can work with your schedule. Take some time to explore the different options, then choose one that works best for you and your situation.

Window cleaning

Windows need a lot of attention even after the winter season. In winter, the windows are not given much importance, because they regularly come into contact with ice, moisture, dirt, and grime during this time and it does not make sense to clean the windows. Therefore, you get to take the advantage of Spring to have your window look sparkly clean both inside and outside. If the customer has screens, offer to clean them as well. In any case, you will certainly have a lot to do in the spring when cleaning the windows.

Cleaning the gutters

Gutters may seem like unimportant parts of your home, but in reality, they have many important uses. On the one hand, the gutters are essential to divert water away from home. If your gutters do not offer this service because they are clogged or damaged, it will have a negative impact on your home, causing water to get on your roof and/or the floor of your home.

Clean the bathroom

Although cleaning does not take a prominent place in the list of things to do, this is a necessary task that needs to be done. The bathroom is one of the most dreaded rooms for cleaning. So, when it’s time to do the spring cleaning in your bathroom and really clean it from the inside, incorporate effective bathroom cleaning tips to make it easier for you. In addition to water, there are also some problems in this area, such as mold and deposits, soap foam.

Rinse the sink properly and ensure it doesn’t leave water stains. If the mirrors are illuminated on the wall, place them in the dark corner to avoid water stains on the glass doors. The bathtub or shower is better cleaned from top to bottom. Pay special attention to corners and holes or holes as mold and mildew hide in these areas. Rinse the area of the bathtub and do not polish the tap and the handles.

Finally, get as much help as you can to get the job done. There is an old saying that many hands recharge light, and this will certainly be seen when it comes to cleaning your home from top to bottom. Organize a whole week prior to the Festival and have everybody work and clean to foster in the right mood before the Festival. Make sure you reward yourself and your family for the work you’ve done.
